Bribery Commission wants IGP to reassign police
The Commission Investigating alle-gations of bribery and corruption this week requested police headquarters to re-assign personnel as the Commission is unable to initiate investigations into the recent complaints made by the United National Party [UNP]. Mr. T. A. de S. Wijesundara Chairman of the Committee yesterday said that he wrote twice to the Inspector General of Police [IGP] requesting him to re-assign police personnel. "There was no response so far," he said yesterday morning.
