    The proposed National Child Protection Authority Bill will give legal status to the existing Presidential Task Force for Prevention of Child Abuse.

    Sri Lanka will be the first SAARC nation to introduce the Child Protection Authority Act, recommended by the countries and organisations which participated at the seminar organised by the Coalition against Trafficking of Women in Bangladesh.
