The Sri Lanka Karate-do-Federation (National Body), which is under the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, will conduct the National Karate Championships this year.

The tournament is scheduled for September 16 and 17 at the Sugathadasa Indoor Stadium commencing at 9 a.m. on both days.

Around 400 karatekas are expected to participate.

The tournament committee has also made arrangements to hold a "Masters Karate Demonstration" which will be a key feature. (RN)
