Parquet (Ceylon) Ltd. continues to be in trouble with both export and local turnover shrinking and accumulated losses that stood at Rs. 60.3 at the end of the last financial year mounting by a further Rs. 5.7 million at the end of the first quarter of the current financial year.

Turnover during this quarter was down to Rs. 19.7 million from Rs. 34.1 million a year earlier while the loss of Rs. 5.8 million was down from a Rs. 1 million profit during the comparative quarter last year.

Parquet's carry forward losses as at June 30, 1998, was Rs. 66.1 million.
