Sri Lankan cricketer, Muttiah Muralitharan was felicitated by the Colombo Kamban, Kazahagam in the honour of his record breaking bowling feat against England at the Oval in contributing towords Sri Lanka's historic Test match victory. The Captain, Arjuna Ranatunga also graced the occasion as Chief Guest.

Sri Lanka's ace spinner Muttiah Muralitharan was presented with a valuable wall clock by Justice C. V. Vigneshwaran at Friday's felicitation ceremony at the Ramakrishna Hall, Wellawatte. Muralitharan created history by taking 16 wickets in the Cornhill test match against England, which paved the way for a convincing win by Sri Lanka. The ceremony to feleitate Murali was organised by the Colombo Kamban-Kazahagam.
