A
Gamini Dissanayake Commemoration Fund was
launched yesterday at a ceremony held at
the J. R. Jayewardena Cultural Centre.
This Fund was established with the
participation of all employees of the
Mahaweli Authority who would be
voluntarily retiring from service by
making a contribution from the retirement
gratuity received by them. An employee
handing over a contribution to Mrs. Srima
Dissanayake, widow of Gamini Dissanayake
on the occasion. Looking on are UNP
Chairman and Colombo Mayor Desabandu Karu
Jayasuriya and UNP MPs M. H. Mohamed and
