Three nabbed printing counterfeit currency
Kandy - A team of police personnel of the Central Range Vice Squad, Kandy in a dawn raid yesterday took into custody three persons allegedly engaged in printing countefeit currency notes of the Rs. 500 denomination in an upstair-room of a Vihara in Batagalla near Pujapitiya about seven miles off Kandy.
The police team recovered dud currency notes to the tune of Rs. 60,000, a set of computers valued at over Rs. 125,000 and paper used to print the currency notes.
