Tamil parties ‘join’ LTTE over international mediation
Tamil political parties have joined LTTE terrorists in attacking Sri Lanka’s position that the ongoing war against the LTTE was an internal matter and no third party including the UN could play a role to end it.

Tamil politicians said that they are not prepared to accept the government’s position. The government, a senior TULF official said must be prepared to seek international mediation to end the crisis.

Wickremesinghe not only listened to the problems of commuters on the train but also responded to questions that were sometimes hostile. "It was a very useful exercise,’’ a UNP spokesman said. From the Fort Railway Station, he took a bus to his Cambridge Place office.
