Inscribed Lead Token in shape of Fish

This Inscribed Lead token in shape of fish found in Akurugoda is similer to Plate Specimen A.43. illustrated in 1999 book by Osmund Bopearachchi and Rajah Wickramasinhe Ruhuna. An Ancient Civilization Re-visited .

Obverse : Detailed features of fish such as mouth, eye, gills, fins and split tail are clearly visible. Anticlockwise Swastika on body.
Reverse : Legend in Brahmi on body of fish shape.

The weight shape and and size is about the same as A43 but the Brahami legend appears different to that published for A43.

The specimen was scanned at 600 dpi and displayed at 400 dpi.
It was obtained in 2016 May from Lalith Raddella in Colombo who had purchased a selection from Raja Wickramasinghe.
