Obverse : A humped bull standing facing right towards a tree in four compartent railing. Fragments of many other symbols, may be identified with symbols on larger coins Pandayan coins of this type . Below bull 3 dots or taurins ?. Above bull six-armed symbol ? To above right arched hill or chitiya
Reverse : Stylised fish symbol

This coin found in Akurugoda is similar to Buddhist Cakram type(9) listed in Codrington P.20 and to H.18 cataloged in 1999 by Osmund Bopearachchi and Rajah Wickramasinhe in the book Ruhuna. An Ancient Civilization Re-visited.

The coin was scanned at 600 dpi and displayed at 400 dpi. The coin images have been lightened to highlight features. Coin from part of Lalith Raddella's collection I purchased in 2016 December.
