Short Summary of Want List for Lanka Coin Collection
Last update 2006-Jan-10 - Summary list of those of particular interest
The collection is of coins of Lanka and those that were legal tender
and circulated in Ceylon during colonial rule.
Looking for light toned VF/VF+ (U.S. grade) suitable for scaning for a
website. I probably can't afford the higher grades for the more
expensive coins some of which I excluded from this list since they far
exceed the maximum $150 numismatic premium limit set on this Collection.
If you have anything to offer please let me know price and condition and
weight preferably to better than 0.1 grams, and if I am interested I would
probably request an image, before making a decision to purchase.

Looking for Portuguese South Asian, in particular coins issued for Celio.
(Ceylon KM 1-15). Since I probably can't afford them, and as there are so
many fakes. I am very conservative in buying these coins.

Any Dutch VOC Counter/Stamped Portuguese Tanga and Iranian Safavid coins
(KM 37-56), again very conservative since countermarks are easy to fake
and a real coin could increase much over 10 times in value.
