plain circles an elephant facing left and year 1802 below.
Reverse : Within a circle of annulets between two
plain circles; CEYLON.GOVERNMENT divided at top by cinquefoil (*).

Also stuck were Bronzed Proof and Copper Gilt Proof of 1802 and of 1803 and
1804 which were not issued for circulation.
The Dick Ford collection (in Taisei-Baldwin-Gillio Auction#19
1995 February 23 Singapore lots#179) listed a 1802 struck in tin
(not lead as given in Pridmore 83C) from the Wayte Raymond Collection
(NASCA, NewYork, 14 Aug 1978 lot#887) which did not sell at Auction.
