Archibald Glen Kidson Borron was a coffee planter at Crystal Hill at Matale. The fourth son of William Geddes Borron, J. P., of Scafield Tower, Ardrosan, Scotland, A. G. K. Borron died in Ceylon 16 May 1872. The ``Borron Memorial Hall'' at Matale Town was erected in the year 1895 to commemorate the universal respect with which he was regarded. Borron took a prominent part in the discussion of matters relating to the planting community and was an important figure in their affairs.
