Early Ceylon Estate Tokens were crude productions such as simple incuse stamps on metal blanks or worn coins. Others were roughly minted. The appearance of forgeries forced planters to have better quality pieces struck in India or Britain.

Speculation: Could GA stand for Gona Adika Estate, the name of which is minted on Tokens (Pridmore #48,#49)
