In 1791 we hear of complaints about false Bazarucos which for the layman were indistinguishable from the genuine. All of the lead Doits were therefore demonetized on 1791 December 29th and no longer allowed to circulate. However it was decided by Resolution of 1792 March 3rd to strike lead Doits of the same weight, but with a new die and to use the metal of the recalled Doits. There were 15,879 11/32 Troy pounds (494.0942 grams) of them on hand from which 1,270,000 pieces could be struck.
The lead Duit of this year is listed as extreamly rare (RRR) in Scholten. In the older coins of 1789-1791 the value was written as DT rather than DUIT.
