Medieval India - Kongu - Lion Type
A small dumpy copper coin with a lion standing left with front right paw raised
as in the Lankan Flag, but without sword.

Obverse : Lion standing left with rasised right paws and tail double bent
over back.
Reverse : Stylized Nagari Text.
I note the remarkable similarity to the Lion in the Lankan Flag except for
the sword.

The coin was scanned at 600 dpi and displayed at 300 dpi.
It was obtained in 2004 April from
Satya Bhupatiraju who had purchased from Scott Semans.
