Obverse : Crowned arms of Zeeland: Rampant lion (facing left) half
inside the sea represented by 3 waved lines, divides two stuiver
value 2 S all within dash circle.
Reverse : Castle ( ♜ ) mint mark with a Five pointed Star (
★ ) on either side. Below in three lines
ZEE/LAN/DIA ending with ⚫ .
Year 1724 below beween two dots ( ● ), all within dash circle.
Codrington X§26 Double stuivers (iii) Provincil Arms; lists coins from
Holland, Utrecht, West Friesland, and Zeeland are found in Lanka.
This 2 Stuiver is 7% under-weight which may be
accounted for by ware during circulation
The coins were cleaned lightly with with 15% Solution of citric Acid
to expose detail.
Coins were scanned at 600 dpi and displayed at 300 dpi.
The 1724 coin is from part of Lalith Raddella's collection
